This two part feasibility study project will provide insight into the importance of the energy supply to the sustainability of communities and industry and investigate and document options for utilising the historic Hughenden Powerhouse precinct for tourism, education and historic purposes.
The redeveloped Hughenden Power House will be central to tourism and education in the area as well as providing point for the for evidence of the integration of the renewable energy and traditional industries such as agriculture, mining, processing, manufacture and potentially transport.
It also envisage the display produced will have real time display of the levels of renewable generation being produced in the area and the carbon intensity of energy produced in the area. The project will also raise national awareness of the Hughenden areas as a source of energy.
